The Papasotiriou dental office represents three consecutive generations and more than 65 years of experience in high quality comprehensive dental treatment.
Dr. Mina Papasotiriou – Fili, as a founding member, passed on her knowledge and experience to Dr. Alexandros and to Dr. Olga Papasotiriou, who broadened the spectrum of therapeutic possibilities through the specialties they acquired at Universities in Europe and USA.
The third generation with Mariamina Papasotiriou continue the “family tradition”, bringing modern technology and innovative treatment options to the practice team.
Dr Alexandros Papasotiriou
Dr Alexandros Papasotiriou is one of the most experienced and specialized implantologists both in Greece and internationally and belongs to the pioneers in the field of immediate loading of implants with the Smile Today technique.
After graduating from Hanover School of Dentistry in Germany, he aquired knowledge and expertise at the Oral Surgery Department of the Ludwig-Maximilian University of Munich and later specialized at the world-renowned University of Pennsylvania , Philadelphia, USA in Implantology, Periodontology and Prosthodontics.
Thanks to specialized knowledge and experience, he offers a comprehensive approach to the problem of tooth loss: from the diagnosis and treatment of gum diseases, to bone regeneration of the jaw, to the placement of dental implants and the restoration of the mouth with an emphasis on aesthetics.
During his career and in collaboration with colleagues in Germany and the USA he introduced new methods in the field of dental implants, which have been published in internationally prestigious scientific journals and presented at world conferences in Europe and the USA.
His international presence is surrounded by the Title of the Diplomate from the American Board of Periodontology, and by being member of the International College of Dentists, a global dental organization which selectively accepts internationally distinguished scientists.
Mariamina Papasotiriou
Mariamina Papasotiriou is a graduate of the European University School of Dentistry in Nicosia, Cyprus.
During her studies she developed interest and initiatives beyond the framework of her academic obligations, by writing scientific papers, which were presented at the Pancypriot Conference and the annual Scientific Conference of the Stomatological Society of Greece.
She is also involved in dental science and research by being co-author in a study on bonding of modern restorative materials.
Alongside her occupation at the dental office, she attends international seminars in Greece and abroad, such as the recent Dental Meeting “The evolution of paradigm”, organized by the University of Pennsylvania in Italy and is a member of the Hellenic Dental Federation and the German Society for the Promotion of Dental Research VFwZ.
Dr. Mina Papasotiriou – Phili
Dr. Mina Papasotiriou – Phili is a pioneer of today’s dentistry in Greece. At a time when very few women decided to study, not only did she receive her dental degree from the University of Athens, but also specialized at the Ludwig-Maximilian University of Munich in Oral Surgery and was involved in clinical research, which lead to her Doctorate title.
In 1973 she received a worldwide distinction, as she became member of the International College of Dentists . Dr. Mina Papasotiriou was In fact the first female member (along with Dr. Tibeau) to be inducted in the I.C.D.!, a fact that did not go unnoticed by the press of the time.
Along with her work in the private dental office, she maintained contacts with important Universities and famous professors in Germany, Switzerland, Sweden and the USA attending intensive seminars, while in 1979 he became a member of Pierre Fauchard Academy.
Dr. Mina Papasotiriou has made numerous scientific presentations in Dental Meetings in Europe and in Greece and is one of the founding members of the Stomatological Society of Greece, and was for several decades member of the organizing committee for the Annual Meetings. She was involved in continuing education by teaching fellow dentists in Greece, in Liechtenstein and other parts of the world in areas such as Periodontology, temporomandibular joint dysfunction, removable Prosthodontics etc.
Along with her dedication to dentistry, her unstoppable creative spirit also manifested itself in various fields of art, such as dance, composition of jewelry and much more.
Having now retired from active practice, Dr. Mina Papasotiriou – Phili leaves behind an impressive legacy with the satisfaction that her experience and dedication to dentistry is passed down from generation to generation.
